blog hop: what’s in your tack trunk (or locker, or tack room)?

here it is, folks! my first blog hop. i thought the hops from viva carlos and equestrian at hart were so fun (but before my blogging time) that i thought i’d try my own.

whether or not you call yourself a tack ho, we all share an affinity for tack and riding gear. since switching to eventing, i’ve been shocked (and also a little excited) by the volume of tack i need for each phase. i know that all the tack in the world won’t make me a better rider (though a properly fitted saddle is a huge help), but as someone who pieced it together with borrowed saddles and random bridles for quite some time, i am thrilled and very lucky to have acquired all i need.

with that in mind, i thought i would take an accounting of my kits, and i’d love to learn about yours! so please jump in on the hop, and share your equipment essentials, from protective boots to bridles, saddles and saddle pads, breastplates to bits!
